That's a nice list and it looks correct to me but those colors are specific to the United States. There were variations in other countries. I know Canada got a very nice Root Beer brown for at least one year, @RaYzerman has one.
Forgive me...
It is also worth noting that there are some variations in the color names. A few examples:
2013= Blah, Boring Grey
2014= Lace Panty Pink or Lipstick Pink
2015= AssFault Gray

I don't know what "Raven" is but my '08 is black. Is that consistent with your list?

I don't believe 2003 is Liquid Silver. Colorrite shows a different silver too.

2008 Raven black bikes should show some glitter (pearl) in the sun. If it doesn't, it's been repainted.

I see what you see on Colorrite. My source was the Yamaha website.

I was just looking at an image of the 2007 in Black Cherry. It looks like something that might be called root beer. I like it a lot, probably my favorite color.

It was also called (I think) Dark Red Metallic. It really did look fantastic and in person did not look much like the root beer brown of the Canadian bike. I thought it was probably the finest color ever painted on a Sport Tourer.

My Black Cherry '07 was the fastest colour, followed by Root Beer of course, not like those slow '14 Lipstick Pinks.....
Rest of World (EU, Canada) I believe had two colour choices each year for 2014 up.. EU got matte silver a couple of years ago, which has now made it here.

I first saw the 07 color, in person, at the TofTD on a dark overcast day. I thought it looked like purple mud. The next time I saw one it was a bright sunny day and I swore it was a different color or at least a different paint. I have an 07 now. LOL

+1 on the Black Cherry being the nicest colour. I was hoping Yamaha would put out the FJR in that colour again in 2017, '18 or '19. They didn't, so I ended up with a blue one.

Black Cherry is the awesomest colour, berry fast!! Here's mine way back the day I brought it home with 1500 miles on it. At night it goes quite dark cherry.

This is the 2014 superfast Root Beer the day I got it home... they never really knew what to call it, Magnetic Bronze, Metallic Brown or in the OEM parts catalogs Dark Metallic Orange. It is so fast it wouldn't stay still long enough even for the Yamaha guys, and they couldn't pin down a colour name. The red ones of course, you can see them a mile away and seemingly it takes forever for them to come into view.

I am interested to know sales numbers by year. I seem to see more '14s than any other color but silver.
BTW if my '14 ever needs a repaint it will get the '16 blue

Get this completely. Ive never even felt like cleaning my Grey one. For 7 years now, ive kicked myself for not waiting one more year - id have a beautiful red one now .
But, i have a 2006 Mazda RX8 in Copper Red that gets waxed up several times a year, because its an amazing color !
